On Day 2 of the Test, India got into a bit of a jam, but KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja pulled India out of it. Day 2 saw Jadeja take charge of the Indian innings and bat with the tail to lead India to a commanding lead of 190 runs after the departure of KL Rahul for 86. Twice in his innings, Jadeja was out by LBW, but he overcame them with a DRS. With a patient 87 runs off 180 balls, the all-round player lifted India to a commanding position.

Day 3: IND vs. ENG, First Test

Jadeja had taken three wickets for 88 runs earlier in the Test match, which helped India bowl out England.

The great Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar praised the all-arounder for his efforts and referred to him as the greatest all-around player in history.

While doing game commentary, Gavaskar said, “Jadeja is probably the best cricketer in the world with the contribution he makes with bat, ball, and in the field.”

“He adds so much value to the team and by all accounts he is an absolute delight in the changing room as well,” he said.

Where in the ICC Rankings is Jadeja?
The all-rounder from India has been ruling the top spot in the ICC ranking. That spot has been held by the Indian celebrity for some time.

On the third day of the Test match, India will rely on its all-rounder who bowls spin to dismiss the opponents. Anil Kumble and Kevin Pietersen predicted that if India can build a lead of 250 runs, they would win by an innings before to play on Day 3.

England is now battling back with the bat against India’s spinners after they bowled brilliantly that day and prevented India from getting above 200 runs. As of this writing, England have scored 28 runs in 6.3 overs.
